Hello! My name is Saskia Holman and I’m from Austin, Texas. I’m a current junior at Bryn Mawr College studying Public Health and French. During my time at DIS I’ll be participating in the Health Delivery and Prioritization program, which will include travels to greater Denmark, Estonia, and Finland. I’m excited to be able to participate in such a wide range of courses this semester from Public Health Ethics to Conspiracy Theories and Historical Controversies.
Although this is not my first time in Europe, this is my first time visiting Denmark and learning about Danish culture. Throughout my semester I aim to try my all at learning Danish (Hej!), to navigate Copenhagen’s public transportation, and to plan a trip for myself outside of Denmark. With so many possibilities ahead of me during my time at DIS, it’s easy for me to feel overwhelmed. I hope to use this blog as a mode of reflection and for practice with feeling present.
